Piece of junk and magnet doesn’t even hold it as soon as you put it on you walk you touch it fall off. I already lost a knife. Thanks for nothing.

The magnet is not safe to keep the knife on site. But the MagnoGrip Quick Snap Slide Open Utility Knife I like it.
I would give the knife portion of the package a 5 star rating. It is not bulky. The feature that I like is that you cannot accidently open the knife. You have to engage a mechanism to open the knife and the same to close it. The belt clip is what lowers the score. The magnet needs to be stronger. I keep knocking the knife off of the holder when it is clipped to my belt. The principle of the design is great: the clip can hold a tape measure or a flashlight (from the same Company).

Knife is OK description says snap off. Very misleading they do not have a snap off blade. I returned it for the correct one. Steve

I bought it because I work nights as a stocker and I'm constantly opening boxes or pallets and so far I'm very happy with my purchase it's been working great and makes my job a lot easier.

The magnet is weak. It'll fall off the base several times a day. I've cut myself 4 times because of the release on the slide. The blade change button took some serious effort to actuate. I love the concept.

Very good knife for the average job. Magnet seem to hold for me, haven't had it fall off. Just make sure you slide it down into the holster. I would prefer if it had blade storage for when I'm doing drywall. Have to change blades more often. In order to slide the blade out you have to shift the release mechianism to the left a bit, then it will slide out - I like this safety feature.
Love this cutter,, I use if for everything, Blades is holding up very well after nearly two months of use, I did reverse it after about 3 weeks. Expect to replace blade in next week or two. I use this utility cutter for just about everything and find it to be a great tool.. Do not care for the holder very much,,, guess if I was doing a job that required a cutter all the time would use it... Very nice cutter.
The magnetic holder is useful but you have to be careful to not dislodge the knife. The safety lock is useful as well.
The MagnoGrip Quick Snap Slide Open Utility Knife with Universal Magnetic Holder is a convenient and compact utility knife that'll get the job done. For that reason, and the affordable price, I would recommend the product. That being said, though, the handle is smaller than I would prefer, and the pointer finger guard isn't quite big enough to make me feel totally safe when using the knife.
The magnet built into the back of the knife is a nice feature, as is the blade lock, but both features would be very uncomfortable for a left-handed person to work with.
The blade change button took some getting used to, and still makes me a little nervous, but it does work fairly easily.
My biggest issue with this product is that the "universal" magnetic holder doesn't work with any of my other tools, so the "universal" description is VERY misleading. Definitely don't buy this product for the holder.
I own about a dozen different utility knives. This one is not bad. It could be a little longer. Blade change is easy. I particularly like the sliding mechanism as opposed to the fold up ones that I own. Magnet could be stronger. Doesn't take much to knock it off the holder, but mine is zip tied to peg board so I always have access to this blade. Use it mostly to cut cardboard to put in the recycle bin. Overall, not a bad purchase.
Great knife sturdy fits in your had well. The only issue was there were no instructions on how to open it. It took awhile to figure out the safety latch.

Very easy to use easy to open handy to have for all cutting needs
The quality and value of this tool is 5 stars. So why do I overall give it 3 stars?
Because of the design.
The magnet and quick change are excellent design features. But just about everything else does not work for me.
If you are like me, you may find that a utility knife is the most used tool in your box. I had high hopes for this, especially with the magnet holder.
Here are my issues:
1) The LOCK LEVER does such a great job, it makes it difficult for me to manage. The push left and back/front doesn't work for me at all. I feel like I'm always struggling with it.
2) The SIZE of the tool is just too small for my huge hands.
3) The WEIGHT of the tool is hefty. I prefer lighter weight tools.
4) No STORAGE space for extra blades
5) The offset BLADE OUTLET is weird. When I'm working drywall, for instance, I expect the blade edge to be very near the bottom of the tool. Instead, there is a large (3/8" or so) offset from the bottom of the tool. I do not like this at all.
You may find these issues are of no concern. If you are really looking for a very well built quick change tool with a neat holder at a great price, then go for it. Just remember you won't have spare blades stored in the handle, so you better bring them along in another case.
Heavy duty utility knife magnetically sticks very well to the belt knife holder. The knife has a safety on it, so it just doesn't open or close by pushing the blade lever. The lever has to be moved to the left to push the blade out.. This is a very nice safety in case a child got the knife. Only drawback I see is the opening lever is designed more for a right-handed person. I'm a lefty and it is a little cumbersome to move the lever to the left with your left hand. This has a nice sharp blade.
I use my utility knife a lot. This Magogrip is great. It snaps strong on my belt holder with a heavy duty magnet and stays there. Have lost it yet while climbing, bending or just walking around. It's nice for a product to do what it reads it will do. Feels good and level in my small hands. There was only a little hesitation when I first got it in the removal of the razor blade it now seems to have wore well and is now easy to open with a push of the button.
