MagnoGrip 19-Pocket Builder’s Tool Belt

Wow! What a great tool belt and back brace combo! After a 10 hour shift alone on a boom lift, I felt pretty good. I didn’t have to bend over or squat to pick up tools so I was able to work at a faster pace. On the left, you get two deep pockets and two smaller pockets. On the right side you get one deep pocket and two smaller pockets.
For additional support, I purchased some cheap suspenders to support the weight of all my tools. I am very satisfied with this belt and the price I paid. I’ve used it for a month and I have no complaints.

Great value The back support is about as good as it gets for this type of belt. May add suspenders in the future.

Very comfortable hands down! And more than enough pockets to hold everything needed.

As much as I love DIY projects, I’ve never invested in a tool belt. I’m constantly trying to remember where I put down tools, screws, etc, which adds time and frustration to many projects. After recently building a shed and leaving tools scattered all over the yard and garage, I knew I had to get one. Needless to say, I’m happy to have this belt.

What I like about it:
-The buckle is very strong. The belt gets Velcroed in place then you use the metal buckle to secure it. Very easy.
-The pouches are adjustable along the belt, but held firmly in place by Velcro so they don’t slide around on you – they stay right where you want them.
-The inside of the belt is well padded and breathable.
-The back support feels legit. While I haven’t yet put it to the test it felt good when I tried it on.
-Plenty of pockets to hold a large assortment of items.

The only thing that I wish was included on the tag was a better diagram of all the features. While a pro would know what everything is for, as an amateur I do not. There are a couple things mounted on the belt that I don’t know the purpose for – such as the small black metal piece at the top of one of the pouches.

This is the ideal tool belt for me. You have plenty of large pockets to carry nails, screws and/or hardware in to do your job. I love the idea that you can remove the pouch/tool organizers if you do not need both sides. The Velcro backing keeps the pouch/tool organizers where you need them on the belt and keeps them from sliding around on your belt. This belt is fantastic. It has plenty of padding for comfort, along with a very sturdy bracing in the back area for support.

Don't buy it for the magnets. But, this is still a nice toolbelt with the standard set of pockets. It has a couple improvements I like over my previous belt: One, the main pockets are held not only by the belt, but also by Velcro, so once you get them placed, they're not going to slide around; when you put your hand where you know Tool A is, it's going to be right there, not a little forward or backward of where it should be. Two, it comes with a dedicated hammer ring on the back center, not tacked onto the main pockets, and it's metal instead of floppy nylon or leather that eventually sags. Three, the belt is wide and doubles as a back support, making it much more comfortable. As you can see in my pics and video, though, the magnets are weak; I put twelve medium nails on it and when I rocked up on my heels and dropped sharply on my heels, I lost a third of them. Tried it again with a medium-sized socket and it almost fell off by itself. It'll barely hold on to a metal utility knife, multitool, or tape measure and they'll fall off the first time it bumps into a doorway. They're okay for an errant screw or nail you don't want to get lost in the big pockets because you need it back in a minute, but if you use them for heavier items like a tape measure or even a utility knife and squeeze through a couple wall studs, your coworkers are going to get some free tools—yours :-)—and that's disappointing.

Great back support but not for skinny carpenters. Tool belt rigs are a very personal preference item. There were many things I liked about this belt but others didn’t measure up to my old rig. WHAT I LIKED: 1) The back support really is comfortable. I have tried wide back belts but they bound or dug into my ribs if I was squatting. This bag does not and worked great. 2) The magnetic pockets make a difference. It made it easy to find screws and as a bonus I could turn the whole rig over to dump out saw dust (always inevitable) without screws going all over 3) Heavy weight quality. The nylon is beefy and should hold up well over time. 4) Price. This belt is priced at $50 at the time of this review which is a fair price given that some belts are north of $100. WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE SO MUCH: 1) No inside small pockets. The pencil pocket is shallow and on the outside of the bag (see photo). My old rig has small pockets for pencils, rules, small tools inside of the main pocket which protects them from damage. I broke the pencil twice with this bag because it catches stuff easily on the outside. 2) Belt latch doesn’t work for skinny guys. Even after much adjustment the large belt clasp system wouldn’t work well when run through all the belt loops. I have a 30” waist and just couldn’t get it to stay cinched. My old belt had a quick release clasp system that works better for skinny guys like me (see photo). 3) Secondary pockets are too shallow. The belt has a main pocket on each side, which is nice and deep. It works well. Sewn above the main pocket are secondary pocket for smaller tools but they are so shallow nothing stays in them. Could have easily been remedied by making the bottom seam a couple inches deeper. Overall this belt is a good value. I would give it a C+.

Belt has lots of good sized pockets and fits a wide range of waist sizes. The magnetic pouches makes carrying screws and nails stress free without fear of spilling them.

This is a large framer/builder tool belt. It has a ton of pockets and storage slots ranging from large to small. Easy to grab tools and nails even when you are in awkward positions. This belt is better suited for larger size people as it is a bit bulky, but you are able to remove different pouches that you may not want to wear for that specific project which is great. I end up taking the left side pouch off for most things but it's nice to have the option if I need more tools. The integrated back support is nice but can be a bit combersome at first being almost 9" tall. I really like the magnetic areas to hold loose screws or nails. Overall it's a nice belt and good quality it may just take smaller people some time to get comfortable with a large toolbelt.

This belt is comfortable to wear, even with 30+ pounds of screws, drill, chisels, hammer, pliers and other tools loaded. I really like the secure velcro closure with the additional belt buckle closure. The only problem I had was with the magnetic bit holders when I was moving around a lot in relatively tight spaces. There are bit holders next to the magnets which offers an alternative if you choose to not use the magnets. The pockets are generous and easily allow 5+ lbs of nails, screws to be carried on either side. I would like to see another drill clip on the left side for lefties and guys who have to carry more than one drill/driver. Overall, this is a really nice tool belt that is well built and I am sure will give me many years of service.

This tool belt looks nice, whereas many tool belts don't. It's well made of very sturdy fabric and the pockets are a good size. Also, it has a loop for the hammer that is very functional because you can change its location by moving/sliding it around the belt to the correct position for the user. It has so many pouches, you could probably make a second tool belt from it. The flexibility of easily moving and or removing pouches to fit the job makes it a step above other tool belts. It's sort of a modular concept with the ability to change placement and even remove unneeded pouches for a certain job or project is unique for me. It also comes with a waist/back support belt that you can wear along with it if you want.

Imcan say enough about this tool belt. My wast is 42", and it fits me perfectly. its extramly comfortable, and attaches with velcro and a buckel to ensure it wont come loose around the waste.

The belt also has many larger and smaller pockets to stoor any nut, bolt or tool you will need while working. what i really love about this belt is the magnetic patches that are sewn on the side pockets. Thenare extreamly strong, and will hold smaller tools and/or bolt, screws nuts.

The craftsmen ship is great. The belt is put together well, and feels very heavy duty and has the touch of leather , so no worries about tears or rips.

The other thing that I really like is that he pockets are attached to the main belt by velcro, somyou can adjust them to make it a more comfortable fit.

I am very, very happy with this belt, and cant wait to use it on my next build.

This tool belt seems to be very well built. It has nice large deep pockets. a good strong hammer holder attached with big rivets. It has a cushioned magnet on the outside of the smaller outside pouches. The belt has a padded belt underneath the regular belt which makes it very comfortable. It comes with a 47 inch belt which should be good enough, but when you add the padded belt underneath and the fact that the first holes are 3 1/2 inches from the end of the belt it's a lot smaller I have a 40 waist and I have to pull it tight to get it on the first holes. I don't like the fact that the pouches sit far back near my rear pants pockets I prefer them closer to the front. They can be adjusted with a little effort. I also read another review on these and they were claiming that the magnets messed up the credit cards in their wallet. So you might want to take precaution where you keep your wallet. Other than that I like them a lot.

I give this product high marks but the online description is poor as this adjusts no tighter than 37 inches. My waist is 33 or 34 inches so this belt falls right off over my hips.

The belt has deep pockets and a Velcro strap closest to the body with a belt and buckle with double tongues. I like the design of the pockets - various depths and widths for many uses.
